LODGE MEETINGS
The llopo of (Javersham 1/xlge of Good Templars held a very successful meeting last evening, Sis. F. Thorn (acting Chief Templar) presiding. The Rev. S. Bailey, who is leaving tho district in a few days, was presented with a set of Dickens's works. Sis. Thorn made the presentation on behalf of the lodge. Bros. Dalton, E. Cameron, M'Connell, and Thorn, sen., also made reference to the help and assistance tho Rev. Mr Bailey had given on behalf of the lodge and the temperance cause in general, and wished him God-speed in his iiew circuit. Bro. Bailey, in responding, said that he recipioeated tho gift, and also the kind wishes which had been expressed by the members of tho Order. Bro. Lewis, Past District Chief Templar, fioin Invercargill, gave a very instructive address on iho good of the Order, and stated that Xo-lii-enso was a decided success in his district. A vote of thanks to tho visitois and to tho Concert Committee was responded to bv members from the Hope of Dunedin, Rescue, Alliance. Lily of the Valley, and Southland Lodges.
