The 'Daily Telegraph's' New York correspondent advises that the meat packers of Chicago recently issued £11.300,000 worth of ..ew securities, with a view to controlling iho world's market in beef and hides. The Swifts are said to be spending £340.000 out of their £2.000,000 new capital in purchasing the La Blanca Company in the Arg-i.uine. Schwaraschild and Sulzberger failed to secure the Frigorifico (Argentine) Company.
