THE WOL SALES. Mcas-iis Dalgcty and Go. report bavin;* received the following cable from their head office, dated 20th insl.—"The. wool sales closed firm. As compared with the closing rates of last scries, greasy merino wools, good quality and condition, grcacy cross-bred, fine quality, and medium quality, light condition, free ot nearly free, are unchanged. Mori noes and fine cross-bred, scoured, 5 per cent, lower, except short, faulty scoured merino, which is sto 10 per cent, lower. Greasy merino, heavy, earthy, and wasty, wasty cross-bred medium quality, and coarse, long, light, and bright, cross-bred woole, 5 per cent lower. Scoured crosi'-brod medium and coarse (]iiality, and coarse greasy dingy and cot ted croes-brerl 5 to 10 per cent, lower. Out of 152,000 bales available for sale 9,000 were sold to America, 75.0C0 I'nr home consumption. 52,000 for the Continant, 10,000 bales not offered, leaving 16.000 bales to be carried forward to next series." PROPERTY AUCTION. A block of la.nd. comprising sections 1, 2, 5. 4, 9, 10. 11, block 52, St. Kilda, fronting Logan, Cole, and 'JJ» Carle streets, was submitted to auction by Messrs Park, Reynolds, and Co. at 'their rooms to-day.
