' [ln the Consistory Court of Wells Cathedral on January 20 the allegations against 'the Rev. John Hugh Pigott (or SniythPigott), of the Agapemone, Spaxton, Bridgwater, of no preferment, were inquired into before the Chancellor of the Diocese (Mr Chadwyck-HeaJey, C.8., K.C.). The charge was brought by the Bishop of Bath and Wells, and the citations alleged that the defendant had been guilty of immoral acts, immoral conduct, and immoral habits I within tho meaning of section 2 of the [Clergy Discipline Act, 1892, and contrary to the 109 th Canon issued by the Convocation of the Province of Canterbury in 1603. A verdict of guilty was returned"]
