DOMINION DOINGS.
[Pee United Pbess Association.] INVERCARGILL, December 29. In the Police Court William Steans and David Buchanan were charged with assaulting an elderly woman with intent to commit a criminal assault. The case for the jKlice was that at one in the morning a constable heard screams. He entered the hcusc and found the woman unconscious, with a wound on the head. The accused were remanded, bail being allowed.
