NEW Y'ORK, Nvembor 6. (Received November 7, at 8.0 a.m.) Mr Charles W. Morse, a New York banker, who was arrested last February and convicted on a charge of misapplying funds and making false entries, was acquitted on tho further charge of conspiracy. [Charles W. Morse, banker and steamship company promoter, was arrested on February 16 last upon the arrival of the liner Etruria from Europe under two indictments charging him with larceny. He was taken before Justice Dowling at the latter’s residence, and was released upon furnishing bail to tho amount of 20,000d0l (£4,000), as fixed by tho Court when tho indictments were returned.]
