Magistrate's Court today Archibald John M'Neil, deemed to be a habitual criminal, arid lately, escaped from probation at Bell Farm* New Plymouth, pleaded guilty to cbargte -of obtaining money and goods By means of falsfe pretences. The accused represented hilriself sis the captain of a Tyser liner, and ks.suhh obtained £5 from a Wellington restaiinUiter, and an outfit of clothes from a sfecoffd-hand dealer. M‘Neil pleaded guilty id both chargee, and was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence.
