GOOD TEMPLARY.
The Hope of Dunedin Lodge meeting. was held on Friday in the Zcalandia Buildings, Dowling street. One candidate was initiated. Correspondence was received from the Pioneer and District Lodges. The official visits paid by the lodge to the Lily of the Valley and Evergreen Lodges were reported" as having been most successful. A vote of sympathy and condolence was passed to a member who, herself being on the sick list, had been bereaved by the death of her mother. The item for the evening was impromptu speeches and harmony, and subjects of interest and passing events were spoken to by several members. The question of inaugurating a fund to assist members who might require assistance was taken up, and, although no decision was arrived at, the matter is not to be lost sight of. Several songs were given, and the usual vote to the visitors was responded to by members of all the lodges.
