BAND OF HOPE.

The concluding meeting of the above on Friday night was as successful as on the previous evenings, the Hanover street Church Hall being well filled in spite of the bad weather. The Rev. Geo. Heighway presided. 'Hie programme was a very hill one, and from 7 to 11 p.m. competitors were going at high pressure. As on previous evenings, the competitors reached a very high standard of proficiency, and the four character dialogues especially were exceedingly , good. Messrs G. C. Israel and G. F. Mirams again officiated as judges of elocution and music respectively, and Mr J. A. | D.
