A DRILL HALL BURNT
Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. SYDNEY, October 23. A fire destroyed the Military Drill Hall at Wagga, together with two 12-pounder guns and a quantity of rifles and accoutrements. Ten thousand rounds of ammunition kept up a fusillade for half an hour, rendering salving work dangerous. The efforts of the firemen were successful in removing a large quantity of gunpowder.
