The -monthly meeting of this Trust tool place last night, and was attended bf the Chairman (Mr E. G. 'Allen, M.HJI.). Meast* A. Cable, K. Knewstubb, F. G. Cray, R. Barclay, G. lr. Bcnnistori, B. The Clerk of the Waikeuaiti Comity Council advise that, re the slaughtering license at Sawyers Bay abattoirs, the 'Trust’s request would be granted, subject to the usual conditions.—Received. —Reports.— The Finance Committed reported that accounts amounting to £1.710 14a had been parsed for payment, and that the bank pass book’s current account had a credit balance of £1,488 15s Id, while tho new- dock loan account had a credit of £5,651 6s SiAdopted. The Works Committee slated that the Committee of tho Dock Trust, lo whom the last clause of Mr Robert Hay’s report of 25th November, with reference to the berth for the caisson for the new deck had been referred, paid a visit to the proposed rile. Mr Hay was present, aV explained what he recommended should be done. After carefully considering the matter, tba Committee laid come to the conclusion that the specific alterations of the line of reclamation, as proposed by Mr Hay. should be given effect to, and the construclion of the berth for the caisson be left over for the meantime. —Adopted. The Dock. — Mr Cray referred lo the condition of the dock, and" remarked that certain repairs were urgently required. Many of the blocks needed stays. They had bad an object lesson in the canting of the Calliope Dock.—Mr De-n----niston said it was advisable to guard against any such accident as bad occurred at Auckland. —The matter was referred lo the Works Committee, with power to act.
