Mr White, the British Agent in Thibet, has been cordially received at Gyang-tse, at which place, in accordance with the treaty arranged between Great Britain and Hibet in September, 1904, the latter agreed to establish a market, [By the treaty of September 7, 1904, provision was made for the erection of boundary pillars, the establishment of trade marts at Gyangtee and Gartok (AVestem Hibet), for unrestricted tariff by existing routes on a prearranged tariff, the appointment of British and Hibet agents at the trade marts and the payment of an indemnity.] v>
