Leeside schooled over five flights, fenced well, b u t Wiseembourg, who was given the same tark, did not acquit himself so satisfaetorily. Hinemoa beat St. James over a fast round on the outside grass track. Victory completed two circuits at half-pace, moving ; freely. Most of the horses were out exercising, being given only half to steady pacing. Nadaho?; Lyrist, Nogi, Outer, Pushful, and Medallist, new arrivals, were out doing steady pacing. All are looking well. The Guesser waR showing slight signs of unsoundness, but probably it is nothing serious. ROWING. . BLENHEIM, August 6. The Marlborough Rowing Asrociatiou at their meeting instructed their delegate to use his best endeavor at the annual meeting of the New Zealand Rowing Association to have valuable trophios included in future championship prizes instead of all money. l D.
