The 'Boy's Own Paper' (Now Zealand Bible, Tract, and Book Society) for June should prove welcome to the young folks. It is clean, healthy, instructive,"and humorous. There arc at present ruiuvng through its pages two serials, one by Gordon Stables. R.N., emtdtJod 'The Voyage of the Blue Vega,' and the other by Adrian Leigh_on 'The Adventures of Jack Alderson, V.0..' so that neither navy nor army arc forgotten, but in the hands of these veteran writers supply aibsorbing and thrilling narratives. All that most concerns boya in the way of amusement and invention is touched, whilst the illustrations, caricatures, and portraits are as numerous as ever. The 'Girl's Own Paper' (New Zealand Bible, Tract, and Book Society) for June has _ further portions of the three serial stories now b'ing published in its pages, as well as a complete story in four chapters. The literary matter is carefully and admirably selected, the articles are not too long and are sufficiently varied to indicate the presence of that catholicity of spirit which is essential to success, and the illustrations are up to the standard this publication has always maintained. Tile answers to corlespondents and 'The Keen Housewife' are features that will prove acceptable.
