Inspector O'Brien torday received a wire rrom Roxburgh that John Phillips, a miner, was killed at his claim yester, day Iby a stone from the face falling pn bis head.
The body of an old age pensioner named David Evans, who bad been missing from Palmerston since Sunday, was fonnd in a water-hole at an old dredging claim to-day. - o ' ' CHRISTCHURCH, July 21. . The body of Angus Hart, a fence keeper at Balmoral, was found in the Dove River. Hart is supposed to have been lost in the snow, and a search party found his bodjj^
