Vanhuisbeyn represent the Progressnv© party only, and not tho British, in too IransvaaL [There are two parties in the Transvaal one strongly pro-British, th© other, while loyal to the Imperial connection, ©tronffiv South African. The Progressive party represent the find and ask for representative government, snob uy that which now exists and which is affirmed to be best for the continued peace of the colony. The Responsible Government Association and Het Volk (or People’s Union) represent the ;?econd. These ask for parliamentary institutions as we undeistand (hem., which tho Progressives assert would, if granted, result in Boer domination.]
