PROPERTY SALE. Messrs James Samson and Co. held a sale by auction at their rooms to-day, when they offered tho properties of the late Mr James Seaton. For a parcel of land lr lOp, being allotment 1 on the plan of subdivision of part of section 116, North-east Valley, hold on lease from the Otago Presbyterian Church Board for twenty-one years from November, 1897, at a yearly rental of £l2 10s (part of the ground being sublet to Mrs Moloney for £l2 10s), with two two-storeyed brick dwellings and outhouses thereon, bidding started at £4OO, and soon advanced to £625, at which figure Mr Wm. King became the purchaser. All that parcel of land containing lr, being section 78, block 34, Castle street, Dunedin, held on lease from Mr James Allen for term of twentyone vears from Ist September, 1901, at a ycarlv rental of £25, on which is erected a dwelling of nine rooms and outbuildings, was sold to Mr M'Kenzie for £2BO. The late Mr Seaton's residence at Portobello, 6a, and eight-roomed dwelling, failed to reach the reserve. >
