LONDON, July 18. King Edward, in replying to the invitation, which was eent him by the Dominion Government and Parliament to visit Canada and open the new bridge over the St. Lawrence, at Quebec, expresses regret that Ito is unable at present to accept it. He alludes to the great extent of the Empire which be is obliged to treat alike, and refers to the importance of affairs necessitating his being within easy reach of the centre of the Empire.
