No news of hfm has been received for many months, and the weather in the Arctic this season is exceptionally eevere. PLaerrteaaafc Peary left New York in the Roosevelt, a spedaUy-oonstructed vessel on July 12, 1905. He intended to advance as far north as possible in 3905, wintering in Greenland, and in February, 1906, accompanied by Eskimos, to push his way northward over the pack ice.
