AN AMENDE ACCEPTED.
ASHBURTON, July 19.
Mr John M'Lacnlan, M.H.R., has tendered Mr Hugo Friedlander an ample written apology for the remarks made about him at a public meeting at the railway station on June 13. Mr Friedlander has accepted the apology, and his action for slander has been discontinued.
