THE NORTHERN FLOODS.
A RELIEF FUND. GISBORNE, July 19. A meeting, convened by the mayor and the county chairman, to take relief measures in connection with the flood, was largely attended. It was decided to ascertain the losses and the cases of hardship. A committee was appointed to investigate and to administer £250 subscribed in the town. Sheep farmers with hill country are providing grass for the farmers' stock.
