[Special to the Star.] \mEtVGTON, July 17. A leaflet just published gives the population of the colony as 888,437, an increase of 115,900. or 15 per cent, over tho hut quinquennial period (1901). The totals are :—North Island, 476,9911 South Island, 411,258; Stewart Island, 272.
