THE DEVON'S IMMIGRANTS
AUCKLAND, July 17.. The Devon, which arrived Mm England to-day, brought 114 immigrants/ Tfiey are a likely-looking lot. The majority paid the full passages, only about twenty being assisted by the Government. They include a dozen carpenters, eißiit farm laborers, eight laborers, nine navvies, nine miners, six plumbers, six bakers, also carters, bricklayers, plasterers, grocers, weavers, clerks, and mechanics. Of the total, twenty-four are booked for Auckland, sixty-two for Well lir.gtou, twelve for Lyttcltofl, and sixteen for Dunedin.
