ST. PATRICK'S DAY SOCIAL.

One of tiie most enjoyable socials ever held here took place in the Athemeum Hull an the evening of the 17th (writes our Gromwell correspondent), over eighty couples being present- Dancing was started at 7.30, and vigorously kept up till 11.45' p,m. A good on niter of the visiting •vohtnteers, who had been, firing for the Challenge Shiew!, were present. Supper was, provided by the ladies. Several songs were rendered, notably by Mrs Dr Morris, who was in splendid voice. The sum of £l3 was taken at the door.
