GREATER DUNEDIN CORPORATION EMPLOYEES PICNIC.

TO THU EDITOR. Sir, —One of the members of the Dunedin Pipe Band, who played for the above picnic last Saturday, at Waihola, picked up a valuable gold pin between the station and the grounds and handed it over to me. Later 011 I was informed that a lady lost a gold pin, and I asked a committeeman to send her to me. After correctly describing the article, I gave her the pm. She inquired if there was any reward wanted, but as none was stipulated, I replied “No.” I am writing this to show the finder’s honesty, and I hope the lady will appreciate his action by acknowledging the recovery of her property.—l am, etc,, J. O'Connor. March 20.
