FINGER-PRINT IMPRESSIONS.
ATCKLAND, March 17. Janri Kristacos, Servian, was committed and sentenced on four charges of burglary. He broke into the Catholic Bishop's palace and the neighboring convent and orphanage, also a private dwelling, on the same night. The stolen jeweGery was traced to the accused in two cases, but the only evidence connecting him with the burglary at the convent was the impression of three fingers left on the window through which the thief obtained an entrance. When arrested Kristacos denied the charges, but after bearing the evidence, including that of a finger-print expert, who positively swore that the window-pane impressions were those of the prisoner, he pleaded guilty.
