■»-'■..■ —; A show of flowers, vegetables, etc., at Ihe Mornington School, provided for the purpose primarily of interesting the children in nature studies, and secondarily for raising money to make a fives court for. the boys and provide rackets and rounder? appfances for the girls, was in the, school gyrmnasdum this afternoon and well- attended- Mr Davidson (headmaster), Mr Matthews (first assistant), and other members of the staff controlled the arrangements, and the Rev. W. Scorgie. (chairman of the Cqminrttee) attended to open the show. Mr J.' Rennie (of Port) judged. the flowers and Mr A. Meiklejohn the vegetables. The exhibits made a really fine show, especially the vegetables. Mr J. H. Seidelin gave a table of pot plants fpr sale, and Mr Peterson sent a fine lot of carnations, "whilst' the parents provided afternoon tea.
