EXPLORING CLARENCE VALLEY.
BLENHEIM, March 16. The Commissioner of Crown Lands and party, who are exploring the Clarence Valley with a view to closer settlement, have entered the valley, and are proceeding successfuUy. They have a cavalcade of twentyfive horses, including fourteen pack horses, and are experiencing favorable weather. The country is much denuded by rabbits.
