WELLINGTON, March 16. Tho Labor Department states that it ia still unable to obtain sufficient suitable non for the North Island main trunk railway. For some time past- batches of fifty and sixty a week have been sent up from Wellington, but the demand is stfll unsatisfied." Plenty of men are offering, but very lew are suitable. ALany of the applicants axe unfit for any kind of work. The demand for domestic servants is as keen as ever. Each Home, steamer brings a nnmber of girls and women qualified for domestic work, hut shey are engaged immediately they land.
