AUCKLAND, October 3. William Mason, a well-known nunaeryxaan in Auckland, who made a considerable sum of money by cutting up his nursery and estate in Ponsonby for suburban viQaa, died last week. He) left the bulk of his estate to charities—vit., New Zealand Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Wqmen and Children, and the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to £500; All Saints' Anglican Church building fund, £500; local divisßon of the Salvation Army. £SOO ; the Leys Institute, £1,000; Dr Barnardo's Homes, £SOO. The residue, probably over £IO,OOO, goes to the Jubilee Blind Institute. The Anglican Bishop of Auckland (Dr NeKgan), Archdeacon Caider, and M. L. Holm Bisa are the executors.
