INTERESTING BUTTER EXPERI MENT.

The Committee of tho Manawatu A. and V. Association have accepted an oiler of £2OO from Messrs Collett and Co., Cardiff, England, for prizes for butter. Each exhibitor has to send so many boxes of butter to tho next winter show at Palmcrstou North and so many boxes of equal quantity Homo, there to be judged by experts. On tho latter tests the awards will bo made. It is stipulated tli3t the consignments must be sent to Bristol by the Houlder-Federal Line. Exhibitors are guaranteed lOd per lb, and as much more as the butter realises. Two of tho many benefits to be derived from the competition are the opening up of trade with West of England ports and a comparison between local and Homo judging. BRITISH TRADE.
