ALLEGED INCENDIARISM
FEILDING, September 11. On Saturday J. S. Mikon was charged with arson in connection with a fire in nis preeaises in Manchester street. At the conclusion of the case for the prosecution, Mr Wilford (counsel for the accused) addressed the Court, after which the magistrate dismissed the case, stating that there was no evidence to put before a jury. The decision was received with loud applause by the public assembled in the courthouse.
