AUCKLAND, April : The Manchester Unity Conference negatived the Wellington proposal to admit females as benefit members, and expressed tbeir disapproval of recent legislation respecting the appropriation of surplus interest unless -it is made at the close of the quinquennial period, and after the lodge had been valued. The Conference also exmsidered the proposed Royal Commission, lor the revision of the Friendly Societies Act unnecessary and a waste of public money. They approved of the proposed conference ef friendly societies in Wellington-
