THE VETERANS' HOME FUND.

Arrangements have been made for the members of Williamson's Opera Company to take part in the proceedings at the Caledonian Ground next Wednesday afternoon, when Flis Excellency the Governor will review the cadets of this district and witness a Maori display. A meeting of the Veterans' Home Committee, who hope to raise a considerable sum in the way of gate money on Wednesday, was held yesterday afternoon in Mr C. R. Smith's office, when Messrs G. Lauri and C. Bantock, representing the members of the Opera Company, attended, and expressed their willingness to repeat- the entertainment wluch "they have given in Sydney and Melbourne in a : d of charities. After discussion the Committee decided that the cadets' review should take place first, and that the cricket match would follow, the Maori display to come in between th" first and second innings of the match. Ihe following committees were set un : Advertising and Programme Messrs Rattray. Speight, and SmithGrounds Committee—Messrs Park, Burlinson, Speight, Grace, and Strong.
