EASTER MANŒUVRES.

—An Auckland Bungle.— The volunteer manoeuvres at Auckland came to a rather farcical conclusion. Gu Sunday night the attacking party received orders to change their tactics and await an attack. They did so, and through some misunderstanding the other force were also waiting for an attack, so there was no. battle. Both parties were in camp anxiously waiting for the enemy with some miles ot country between them. The manoeuvres concluded yesterday with a review on Takapuna racecourse, which was witnessed by about 2,000 people. Colonel Davis, tho officer commanding, addressed the troops, but gave no decision as to the movements' of the forces, which will be given in writing. —Nelson and Marlborough.— The volunteer manoeuvres, in which Nelson and Marlborough men took part, in the vicinity of Cable Bay, proved successful. General Babington addressed the officers yesterday, reviewing the tactics on either side. He then addressed the men, and expressed himielf as more than satisfied with their work. The men marched into town at noon, a distance of ten miles, with baggago tram, and the Marlborough'men leftlast night.
