LAND BOARD
The meeting of the Land Board, held to-' day, was attended by the Chief Commissioner (Mr D. Barren) and Messrs Clark, Dallas, Duncan, and Kirkpatrick. The principal business transacted was the granting of an application by Samuel Dunlop to purchase 14 acres in block 1, Pomahaka, at a capital value of £4 10s per acre; ; the acceptance of the surrender by Mr W. | M. Harris of bis occupation with right of : purchase license over section 5, block 6, i Gatlins district; and the refusal of an offer 1 by Mr J. P. Walls to purchase section 5, ! block 25, Town of EalcTutha, and to offer i the section for public competition at th§ next auction sale.
