ELECTRIC CAR ACCIDENT.
AUCKLAND. October 28
A young man named Gooch, employed as a painter, met his death with terrible suddenness this morning. In stepping off an electric car he made an awkwanf attempt to alight at the front when the cat was moving slowly, and was thrown, violently under the wheels. The body was mangled terribly in a few seconds, though the, car only moved a few yards. Jacks bad to lie utilised to raise' the car from the body. Death must have been instantaneous. No blame is attributed to anyone, the accident being due to Gooch’s method of jumping from the car - .
