The wicket and outfield were perfect, and the weather was of tiio best. Grange gained first lease of the wickets, and Robinson and Baker faced EckhoiFs and Webb's bowling. It was a, day for batsmen, and Grange made the most of it Baker gave a display of solid driving, and scared 75. He consistently had the better of the bowling, which was at times rather weak. The match Dunedin v. Albion was commenced on the Caledonian Ground. Albion, winning tho toss, made 101 ; Dunedin lost two wickets for 72. Tho match Port Chalmers v. Carisbrook D was played at. Carisbrook. Port were disposed of for the poor score of 29 runs. Carisbrook responded with 125. Hendley met Opoho at Montecillo. Hendlcy scored 127 runs, and at the call of time Opoho had lost seven wickets for 19 runs.

THIRD GPvADi:. Albion No. 2 defeated Dunedin No, 2 on the North Ground by 15 mite. The match between Albion Ne,. 1 a.nd Carisbrook K was played at Caiisbrook, the former winning by three wickets and 17 runs.

Grango played Privateers on the Asylum Ground. The former mado 130, and tlw Privateers replied with 90. Roslyn defeated Opoho by 104 runs. High School, playing agaiksr- Dunedin ISo. 1, made 181. Dunedin seotcd 47 for four wickets. FOURTH GRADE.

Dunedin No. 2 and Albion met on the Caledonian Ground. The former made 88 and the latter 08. Going tn a sex-ond time, Dunedin put up 38 for the loss of one wicket.

Privateers defeated Roslyn No. 2 by 182 Ttins. Stronach made 93 far th* winners. C.'trisbrook F defeated Port Chalmers by 10 runs on the first innings. Roslyn No. 1 defeated Russell No. 2 by an innings and 67 runs. Hendiey defeated Anders->n Bay No. 2 by 53 runs on the first innings. Opoho defeated Dune/lin No. 1 at Opoho by 22 runs. Grange_ defeated Anderson Pay by 78 runs to 57.
