LONDON, October 25.
The following axe the results of the elections necessitated by members accepting seats in the Ministry:
Lord Stanley (C.) was elected unopposed for the West Houghton Division of Lancashire.
Mr Arnold Forster (L.U.) was re-elected for Belfast West, polling 3,912 votes. Mr Patrick Demansey (Nationalist) polled 3,617. [Mr Arnold Forster was elected without opposition at the General Election.] The Hon. Alfred Lyttelton (L.U.) was reelected for Warwick and Leamington, polling 2,689 votes. Mr Berridge (L.) polled 2,499 votes. Many Liberals who in 190G voted for the Government rather than weaken the Ministry over the Boer Wai now voted for Mr Berridge. The Education Act was also a factor in the polling. [At the General Election Mr Lvttelton polkd 2,785 votes, and Mr Mackinder (L.) 1,954.]
