The Part Chalmers Club opened their green on Saturday. The weather was all that could be desired, and the green in excellent order. The president (Mr J. Stevenson) referred in eulogistic terms to the improved condition of the green, pavilion, and surroundings, and thought that the thanks of the ciub were due to the Management Committee and caretaker for same. He was very pleased to see so many new members joining, and such a large number of visitors, especially ladies, who had attended to witness the opening of the eleventh season. He then called on Mr J. R. Monson and Captain Paton, the two oldest- members of the club, to open the green by playing two heads. This being done, the green was declared open. During the afternoon tea was provided by the president and vice-president. The usual match, President v. Vice-president, was then played, and resulted, after a close game, in favor of the president by 1 point, the total scores being: President 85, Vice-president GYMNASTICS. The North-east Valley Gymnastic Club held their annual competition before a number of members l . The competitors showed a high standard of excellence, reflecting credit on the instructor (Mr W. A.
