DISTRICT ADJUTANTS
. WELLINGTON, April 17. Lieutenant Chesney, of the New Zealand Artillery, stationed at Wellington, has been appointed district adjutant for Auckland, and will also act as staff officer to the commandant of the Auckland district. Lieutenant Mickle, of the Permanent Artillery, has been appointed to a similar posi tion in the Otago district.
[Special to the Star.] WELLINGTON, April 17, From an authentic source I learn that the appointments of Lieutenants Chesney and G. E. B. Meikle as staff officers to the commanding officers of the Auckland and Otago Volunteer’ districts respectively are only temporary. Permanent appointments will not be made for some time yet.
