ANTARCTICEXPLORATION
IN THE CAUSE OF SCIENCE. SYDNEY, April 16. The steamer Stassfurt brought from Kerguelen Island four members of the German scientific party sent there in connection with the German Antarctic expedition. The party originally consisted of five, but one died during their eighteen morrths of residence there. The survivors are very reticent, but it is understood that they suffered great hardships. The leader of the party is ill, and was removed to the hospital upon arrival.
