FOOTBALL.
At a general committee meeting of the Alhambra Club held last evening the following motion was carried unanimously : “That this club strongly protest against the action o{ the delegates to the Otago Rugby Football Union in debarring the publicans from advertising in the Rugbv Union’s ‘Annual.’” The members expressed regret that party feeling of this kind was introduced into football topics, and ihe opinion held was that delegates should have received instructions from their clubs before acting as they did. An Auckland message says : —The Auckland Rugby Union balance for the season is £932. £125 was distributed to clubs for training halls. The bulk of the balance is required for the forthcoming Southern tour.
