SACRED CONCERT

So large was the attendance at the Alhambra Theatre last evening, when Mr Fuller’s company gave a sacred concert, that some seventy-five had to be accommodated on the steps. Mr Walter Fuller played the Coronation March,’ which was followed by a series of pictures of scenes ’Around Glasgow,’ ‘Boon the Wafcter,’ ‘The. Land o’ Cakes,’ ‘Scotia,’ ‘Auld Reekie.’ and ‘’Twas within a mile,’ Mr Walter acting as lecturer. Miss Amy Blackie sang ‘ Please, miss, give me heaven,’ and ‘ Ora pro nobis,’ being encored for both numbers. Miss Dolly Lament played selections from ‘ H Trovatore’ on the concertina, and sang Alone on the raft.’ Mr W. Farquhar loung, who was in good voice.’ sang Nazareth’ and ‘Rocked in the cradle of the deep,’ each of which was illustrated. Mr Arthur Lacey gave a recitation, and sergeant Edwin Hunter played as a cornet solo The lost chord,’ which was warmlv encored.
