THE RHODES SCHOLARSHIPS.

WELLINGTON, March 9. No particulars can be obtained at the present stage concerning the Rhodes scholarships, a report on which has been submitted by the New Zealand Senate to the Government. The latter regard the matter as a very important one necessitating the attention of the full Cabinet. It had been decided to send the papers Home to the Agent-General, who will subsequently be advised by cable as to the final decision of tiie Government Ministers, therefore, at the present stage are reluctant to give any information till the question has been definitely fixed up in Cabinet.
