THE TORREY-ALEXANDER MISSION.

CLINTON, September 29, Messrs Torrey and Alexander, accompanied by Mr A. B. Falconer, carried on their mission down the Southern railway line this morning. At Gaversham and Mosgiel large numbers, armed with the “ red bow,”* assembled on the stations and sang'hymns. At Milton about 200 took up a position at the rear of the railway station, where a lorry with a piano was drawn up. Dr Torrey addressed a few words, and Mr Alexander sang two hymns, tho crowd cheering tho evangelists as they took their departure.

At Balclutba another large crowd appeared on the station, and with the aid of a piano Mr Alexander sang, Mr Tprrey following with a short address. Several hundred turned out at Clinton, where a most sccessful mission was held.
