At the monthly meeting of the Committee of the .above yesterday there were present Messrs 6. Roberts (in the chair), A. C. Stionach, J. Gow, A. Johnson, J. Ross, J. Nimmo, J. Shid, J. Angus, J. W. Blair, W. Charters, J. Patrick, W. H. Taggart, R. Gawn, G. MacEwan, and J. Lethbridge. The Waimatc Agricultural and Pastoral Society wrote thanking the Association for courtesy extended and assistance rendered to its representatives at the winter show, and stating that the society intended to be represented again next year. The letter also made a number of. suggestions as to tlie stands for exhibits. The chairman of the Buildings Committee reported that the erection of the grand stand at Tahuna Park was being gone on with as fast as possible. The contractor was confident that he would complete his contract some time before the opening date The Grounds Committee reported tnat the grass was showing up well through the top-dressing, and that the alterations to the show rings were being proceeded with. The Chairman of the Horse Parade Committee stated that all arrangements in connection with tho forthcoming parade on October 2 were well in hand. On the motion of Mr A. G. Stronach, it was resolved to recommend that the next winter show should be held during the first week in June (including the Prince" of Wales’s Birthday).
