Thirty-two out of thirty-five French riflemen were killed in the Guinea massacre.
[French Guinea lies on the West African coast, between Portuguese Guinea and the British colony of Sierra Leone. The area is about 95,000 square miles, and the population 2,200,000. The country is administered by a governor.]
