CENTRAL MISSION SISTERHOOD.

The monthly meeting of the Central Mission Sisterhood Committee was held in tbe Stafford street Hall on Wednesday evening, the Rev. W. A. Sinclair presiding. The chairman stated tbat Mrs Sinclair, Mrs lvnowles, Miss Powell, Dr B. E. De Lautour, and Mr Hoskins had been appointed additional members of the Committee. Mr J. Young was re-elected treasurer, and the appointment of secretary was deferred for a month. Hearty votes of thanks were accorded to those who had held office during the past year, especially the collectors— Mesdames A. (!. Broad and W. It. Don and Miss Powell. Mrs Knowles and Miss Powell were appointed collectors for the next year. Arrangements were completed for the Sisters' anniversary, wliich takes place on Sunday and Monday, .February 23 and 24. Reports were received from Sister Marie and Sister Jean detailing the work of the. past month. Several rescue raises had been undertaken, aud Sister Marie pointed out the urgent need existing for a home to wliich they might take these girls. She acknowledged the kindness and co-operation of the officials of the Salvation Army Rescue Home. Sister Jean has been busy nursing the sick and visiting. 'The chairman reported that there was now £250 in hand towards the home, and a committee, consisting of Messrs lvnowles, Anderhon, aud Cameron, was appointed to confer with the Mission trustees with regard to proceeding with the work.
