DOCK TRUST
The monthly meeting of the Trust yesterday aftemon was attended by Messrs Ik (f. Allen, M.H.R. (chairman), Hon. H. fionrley, J. A. Millar, M.H.R., J. Mfll, J. Thomson, and N. Dodds. The Town Clerk, Port Chalmers, wrote that Messrs John Thomson and Dodds had been re-elected members of the Trust for the ensuing term. The Dock Engineer reported that tiie month of January four steamers and the limarn dredge hud*been in dock, and that the machinery was working most >,i!i-factory. The Finance Committee reported there was a credit balance at the bank of £520 5s lOd to the Trust account. In reference to the foundations of the sheer-legs, it was resolved that Mr Hay, the Trust’s engineer, furnish another report; and that the engineer of the freezing works report-to the Trust whether it wo aid be better to build a brick chimney or repair niie present iron one at the works. The Trust then went into committee.
